Bossier City - Robert Sidney "Bob" Stimits passed away on May 19, 2018, as a result of many years of enjoying cigarettes. He was laid to rest on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at Hill Crest Memorial Park in Haughton, Louisiana, with Reverend Calep Lewis presiding.

Bob was born in Port Arthur, Texas, on February 4, 1941, to Johnnie Boyce and Pearl Elizabeth Kirkland Stimits, the youngest of three boys. His brothers Ralph and Roy are deceased. He was the first member of his family to attend and graduate from college, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Stephen F. Austin College in 1963, where he was a charter member of Phi Delta Theta. Bob and his wife Suzanne Lindsey Stimits met and married in Houston, Texas. They raised their children Heather and Grady in Blanchard, Louisiana, residing there from 1975 to 2016, and then moved to Bossier City.

Bob is survived by his wife, Suzanne; daughter, Heather; son, Grady and wife Jennifer; and grandchildren, Gabrielle Grace, Lola Elizabeth, and Nolan Lindsey Stimits.

Bob will be remembered as an avid vegetable gardener, organizer of tools, and a man with an incredible work ethic. May God rest his soul.
