Robert Michael (Mike) Clark, age 72, of Fairview, TX, passed away July 4, 2017, at his home, from a short battle with cancer. He was born November 2, 1944, in Ft. Worth, TX to parents G.C. (Mose) and Mary Frances Clark. He was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High in Tyler, TX and St. Mary’s Law School, class of 1970, where he was Editor of the Law Review. Mike was a proud member of Phi Delta Theta and Texas State Bar. After retiring from a long career practicing law, he enjoyed family, hunting, fishing, and boating. He loved life. He loved you if he knew you. He was a man with integrity and held a respect for others that was paramount in his approach to his fellow men and women. He is survived by his wife, Frances M. Clark of Fairvew, TX; Cheri Clark, mother of daughters Christin Clark DeWitt, grandchildren Remy and Cooper DeWitt; Carrie Clark Gillen and husband Ed Gillen, grandchildren Parker, Taylor and Cameron Gillen; son Robert Michael Clark, Jr. and wife Ramsey Clark, and grandson Robert Michael Clark III; sister Cathy Hardy and husband William Hardy; sisters and brothers-in-law James A. Martin, Steve and Carolyn Batchelor, William and Dianne Martin, Jeanne Blasciuc and several nieces and nephews; mother in-law and father in-law Frances and Peter Knickerbocker and many other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, “Mose” Clark, mother Mary Frances Clark; and brother-in-law Thomas
E. Martin. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Christ United Methodist Church, Plano, TX. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
