Services for Ronald Wade (Ronnie) Bowman, Jr., 32, Whitehouse, are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 6 at Burks-Walker-Tippit, Tyler with the Rev. David Jimerson officiating. Burial will be at Whitehouse City Cemetery, Whitehouse, under the direction of Burks-Walker-Tippit Funeral Directors, Tyler.
Ronald Wade Bowman, Jr. was born Feb. 12, 1979, in Tyler to Ronald Wade Sr. and Teresa Simpson Bowman and passed away May 2, 2011, in Nacogdoches.
Ronnie was raised in Henderson, before moving to Terrell where he attended high school and was a member of First Baptist Church, Terrell.
After graduating from Terrell High School Class of 1997, he attended Stephen F. Austin State University, where he became a member of the Stephen F. Austin Chapter of Phi Delta Theta in 1998. Ronnie worked as a mud logger for Ana-Log, Inc. of Tyler for five years.
Ronnie thoroughly enjoyed his life, was an avid Texas Rangers fan and lover of all sports.
Ronnie was preceded in death by grandfathers, Ted D. Simpson in 1980, Clyde A. Bowman in 1980, and Frank King in 2010, and by his grandmother, Wanda Jean Simpson in 1976.
Survivors include parents, Ron and Teresa Bowman of Ruston, La.; brother Teddy Arron Bowman and sister-in-law Monica of Huntsville; niece Bryana Bowman of Huntsville; grandmother Estelle Bowman King of Jacksonville; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be cousins. Honorary pallbearers will be the Brotherhood of Phi Delta Theta.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 5 at Burks-Walker-Tippit in Tyler.
