Wait... errors in post.  Tom would have been 8-9 years old to serve in the Korean War and is this a late post if he died in 2003?  - Charles Durrett YITB #60.

A good Brother sent me the obit. Didn't occur to me the Korean War reference didn't add up. I'm thinking it was a mistake made when writing his history.

Bro. Morrison would be able to get this straight.  He knew. Bro. Folmar very well.

I knew Tom fairly well but my last contact with him would have been in 1965.  I don't believe he was in the army and certainly not in the Korean War.  Having said that, I would tend to question the American Legion comment.  Tom was one of the charter members of Texas Eta but not the catalist in founding of the Chapter.  I have the Charter Members of Texas Eta composite dated December 15, 1962 and he is in the composite.  He was from Pampa, Texas and was friends with Bill Cooper and Earl Leith, who were also from Pampa.  He dated Toni Jacobs.  I believe Toni worked for a bank here in Houston.  Jerry Bird kept up with Toni and she attended one of our luncheons at Sam's Boat.  If anyone is in contact with Bill Cooper who lives in Conroe to the best of my knowledge, he would be the best source of information.
