Taught in Corsicana for a couple years, began working on Master's and worked for the government training program. Taught in the Dallas County Community College and Texas A&M, Commerce for 45 years. Completed PhD. Retired and have worked in Mission Ministry throsugh several Baptist Churches. Now, at First Baptist, Arlington, Texas. Serving a member of the Brownsville Mission Unit, volunteer at Mission Arlington three times a week. Have done six months intensive mission work in Russia, Canada, Peru, and will head to Japan in January.
Continue to play Tennis, pickle ball,read, teach ESL. Moved to Hallowell, Maine in Aug 2023 to run with my son.

During initiation, several members noted that one particular member did not like me very much. One evening, I was blindfolded, put in the back of a car and told not to say a word. (That would keep the other blindfolded person in the car from recognizing me.) After three hours, we were put out on a dusty trail in the Big Thicket. When Johnny saw it was me, he stomped off saying, "Well, this will be a long night." It was. But a car came weaving down a road we had managed to get to. Johnny said, "Stop it, Pledge." I did. Johnny used his conship to get us into the car; he in front and I in back with a very, drunk, and vomiting guy from the reservation. We finally got far enough to get to a telephone and called someone to come and get us. That night, Johnny found that I had more going for myself than he thought. We bonded, and at that time it as Foresters Forever. Johnny did not live long enough to join Phi Delta Theta, but he left his mark on many of us.
