Tehraan "Ty" Williams #958

In Loving Memory of Tehraan Williams

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Tehraan Williams, who left us on August 29, 2025, just after celebrating his 34th birthday. Born on August 22, 1991, to a family with strong ties to military service, Tehraan, affectionately known by his childhood nickname 'Muta' and later to his friends and loved ones as 'Ty', lived a life defined by unwavering dedication, selfless service, and a deep commitment to family and community. He is reunited in eternal peace with his beloved mother, who preceded him in death in the Fall of 2021.

Tehraan’s journey was a testament to his ambition and resilient spirit. His remarkable athletic talent began in grade school with cheerleading after he accompanied his sister to a practice. This early passion grew into a skill that helped finance his higher education and led him to a leadership role as captain of the NCAA Collegiate Champion Coed Squad from 2014-2015, following his time as a team member from 2011-2014.

After graduating with an Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice from Bossier Parish Community College in 2011, and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2015, Tehraan answered the call to serve his country. He served with honor and distinction in the United States Navy from 2016 to 2021, providing security for U.S. FIFTH Fleet units in support of both Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. His courageous service was recognized with numerous awards, including the Armed Forces Service Medal, two Naval Achievement Medals, and the Global War on Terror Service and Expeditionary Medals.

Following his military service, Tehraan channeled his dedication into the legal field. While completing his Juris Doctor, he worked as a legal clerk at Lowenberg Law Firm from May 2022, assisting lawyers with legal research, document preparation, and case materials. He was a Juris Doctor candidate at Southern University Law Center and ultimately earned his Juris Doctorate from Thurgood Marshall School of Law. He more recently served as a valued member of The Connally Law Firm.

Tehraan was a beloved member of his community and an active leader, involved in many different organizations throughout his life. He served as Vice President of the Student Government Association from 2010-2011 and was a member of the Pre-Law Club, Moot Court, and the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity.

He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory, including his father, Avery Williams; his grandparents, Issac and Brenda Tolliver; great grandmother, Joyce Lucinda Glover; his brother, Armando Tolliver; his sister and brother-in-law, Mia and Bryan Horn; his nephew, Lucas Horn; and his niece, Gracie Horn. He will be fondly remembered by many friends and extended family members who were touched by his compassionate heart.

The enduring hymn "Amazing Grace" will be a central part of Tehraan's homegoing celebration, a testament to a life lived with grace and purpose.

The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with a Celebration of Life at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Park.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, any additional donations be made to a charity of your choice in his memory. Previously received donations that exceed the costs of burial services will be contributed to three organizations that were important to him: Stephen F. Austin (SFA) Cheer Athletics, the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, and the Thurgood Marshall School of Law program.
